We're opening a Real2Sim2Real lab in San Francisco with Industrial Next

Why a real2sim2real lab

Most robot learning stacks treat real-world data, simulation and deployment as three separate projects. Each is owned by a different team, runs on different hardware and drifts further apart every month. The gap between them is where policies fail.

So we built a place to close it. Together with Industrial Next, we're opening the R2S2R Arena at 428 3rd Street in San Francisco. It will hold 50+ robots across manufacturing and general manipulation tasks, and every task follows the same loop:

Teleop → sim grounding → model training → real-world deployment → close the gap.

Where the Harvester fits

Paddy's Harvesters anchor both ends of that loop, and thirteen are going in this week. Each one is a bimanual station with two UFACTORY xArm 7s, stereo RealSense cameras and Quest-controller teleop. Operators record synchronized, pipeline-ready demonstrations on the same hardware the trained policy later runs on.

When training data and deployment hardware match, the sim-to-real gap becomes something you can measure, not just argue about.

The lab is also open to outside teams. Research groups and robotics companies can book time, collect data on Harvesters and test policies on real hardware.

The launch is part of SF Tech Week, with partners including NVIDIA, AllSides, Flexiv, Mitsubishi Electric, UW's Personal Robotics Lab and Cambridge's CamRAL.
